Accounts Manager


Job Title: Accounts Manager
Purpose: To provide core accounting activities across our expanding client base
Reports to: Director


Main Responsibilities:
1. Preparation of Year-end Accounts and Management Accounts
2. Sending the communication to clients including management of IRIS and client onboarding
3. Bookkeeping to include adding receipts, generating invoices, reconciling accounts for clients
4. Payroll including entering information from emails and spreadsheets, checking information and generating payslips
5. Pensions – auto-enrolment tasks including setting clients upon systems, calculating required information and entering into payroll

Quarterly VAT Returns – requesting information, compiling returns, obtaining

client authorisation and entering onto HMRC online.

7. Also, require making supplier payment runs.
8. Helping clients with VAT and PAYE Registrations
9 Liaising with HMRC on client’s behalf


1. Understanding of Double Entry bookkeeping (essential)
2. Understanding of Payroll processes (preferred)
3. Good spoken and written English (essential)
4. Knowledge of systems (IRIS and Xero – preferred)

2 Ability to work independently and as part of a team
3 Good written and verbal communication skills
4 Attention to detail
1. AAT qualified or equivalent (essential)
2. Qualified ACA/ACCA/CPA or equivelant
1. Previous experience of working in an accountancy practice (beneficial)
2. IRIS (beneficial)
3. Xero (beneficial)
4. Payroll experience (beneficial)
